Certifications

It's important for us to show you that we are serious about offering a quality service and quality products.

ISO 9001:2008

We began working on our ISO 9001 certificate back in April 1996. ISO 9001 is the Quality Management System standard.

In plain English, this means that every aspect of our day to day business operations are audited by a third party, periodically, to ensure that the things we say we do to achieve a quality service are being done, and that the quality objectives we have set ourselves are being met.

FSC

The Forest Stewardship Council is a non-profit making organisation that sets the standards for the certification of responsibly managed forests worldwide. FSC certified forests are managed with due respect for the environment, the wildlife and the local communities. A system of Chain of Custody traces forest products of all kinds to end consumer. Currently there is over 145 million hectares of forest certified to the FSC Forest standard and demand in the UK has been a major contributor to this achievement. Half the world's commercial timber is needed to make paper products such as paper towels, gift wrap paper, packaging, photocopy paper, newspapers, books and magazines (source WWF).

We feel the following points highlight the importance of using the FSC Label claim on your products;

  1. It adds value to your product, giving it a verifiable social and environmental quality
  2. It demonstrates that you take the environmental concerns of your customers and staff seriously
  3. It assists with continued market access in an increasingly environmentally aware sector

Recycling & Sustainability

Focussing principally on waste minimisation and cost savings, this certification took us through areas such as working out the waste costs for our business, waste legislation, supply chain issues and recycling, with the final aim of helping us to develop and implement a waste strategy within all areas of our business.
